Inter sign Stankovic

Inter Milan have finally signed Lazio midfielder Dejan Stankovic, who has also been chased by Juventus.

The Serbian has signed a deal that will tie him to the San Siro side until 30 June 2008.

Stankcovic, who had six months left of his contract with Lazio, will cost Inter £3 million plus Goran Pandev.

Pandev is currently at Ancona and will join Lazio as soon as his loan spell is over.

Liverpool watch as target considers future

Liverpool target Rafael van der Vaart is considering his options for next season, and the Ajax skipper, who is also being chased by Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Juventus, has held talks with his club.

According to KopTalk, Ajax Director Arie van Eijden said: “We have spoken to the player this month about what happens after 2006.

“There is interest from England and Spain but the signal is that he will wait until the summer before making a decision.”

Jay-Jay set to leave Bolton

Nigerian midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha looks set to leave Bolton in the summer, with Tottenham being one of the clubs interested in him.

Okocha, who is currently at the African Cup of Nations, was quoted in the Daily Telegraph as saying he wanted to move to a ‘bigger club’ next season.

The Independent claim that manager Sam Allardyce is ready to fly to Tunisia in order to try and convince the playmaker to stay at the Reebok stadium.

Bridges moves to Tyneside

According to the Sun, Leeds striker Michael Brigdes has agreed to go on loan to Newcastle for the rest of the season.

Toon have been short of strikers lately but with Bridges coming in and Craig Bellamy returning from injury, things are looking better.

Bridges started his career with Newcastle’s local rivals Sunderland.
