Ipswich Town’s Martijn Reuser could be set to return to the Netherlands with Willem II.

Ipswich manager Joe Royle told their official website: “Negotiations are going on and the deal is getting closer.

“But there are still a few contractual things that need to be sorted out so it’s certainly not a done deal yet.”

Bristol City agree fee for Rangers striker

Rangers striker Steven MacLean could be heading to Bristol City after the two clubs agreed a fee.

Bristol City player-manager Brian Tinnion told their official website: “The fee is agreed and now it is a case of persuading Steven to come here, rather than accepting a rival offer.”

Both Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday could make late moves to scupper City’s swoop.

Livingston chase duo

Livingston have held talks with Hearts striker Gary McSwegan and Raith Rovers defender Goran Stanic.

Livingston manager Allan Preston said: “Gary is one of the players we have spoken to and he will get back to us and let us know what he wants to do.

“Hopefully we will hear something in the 24-48 hours.

“Stanic is another player we have spoken to but I can’t really say too much until we know if they are going to sign or not.”

Mendoza set for Spain?

Club Brugge’s Andres Mendoza could be set for a move to Malaga.

The Peruvian has left the Belgian club on a free transfer even though he has one-year remaining on his contract.

The former Sporting Cristal player is said to prefer a move to Spain, however, English Premiership clubs are reportedly interested.
