Hull complete Fagan signing

Colchester United striker Craig Fagan has completed his move to Hull City for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old has signed a contract until 2007.

Hull manager Peter Taylor told his club’s official website: “Craig is a player with good movement, good pace and good intelligence.

“He is the one that I’ve wanted all along and to be honest at one stage I didn’t think we were going to get him.

“Craig can be used as a target man but will also help the team play and hopefully he’ll get amongst the goals.”

Proto wants top Belgian club move

La Louviere ‘keeper Silvio Proto has said that he would prefer a move to a top Belgian club rather than move to English club Arsenal.

Proto told Het Nieuwsblad: “Officially I haven’t been contacted yet.

“I would personally prefer a move to a top Belgian team.

“Also, Manchester United are interested but the interest of Paris Saint Germain doesn’t seem to be concrete any more.”

Rasiak set for new Derby deal

Polish striker Grzegorz Rasiak looks set to extend his stay at Derby County for another two seasons.

Derby manager George Burley told his club’s official website: “Nothing’s changed from day one. Grzegorz has got another two years after this year if the club takes the option.

“He’s done tremendously well. Grzegorz has scored 15 goals, he wants to learn, he’s got better, and I couldn’t speak any more highly of him.

“I’ve said from day one that I want to build a squad good enough to take to the Premiership, and Grzegorz comes into that category.”

Reading defender on-loan to Tamworth

Reading full-back Louie Soares has joined Tamworth on a month’s loan deal.

Reading Director Of Football Nick Hammond told his club’s official website: “We think it is important for Louie to go on loan and see how he copes with the step up to men’s football at a competitive level.

“Tamworth are in a dogfight so it is a good test for him and I hope he will rise to that challenge in a similar way to Johnny Mullins at Kidderminster.

“It will be an interesting and important loan for him and we will be monitoring it very closely.”
