Motherwell defender pens new deal
Motherwell left-back Steven Hammell is hoping to add to his 334 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club after putting pen to paper on a new two-year contract.
Hammell told his club’s official website: “I am delighted to have things sorted out; I’ve been discussing my own situation for a while now and it’s a relief to know everyone has been tied up.
“There’s quite a few of the boys out of contract here and hopefully I’ll be the first of many to stay on for a while yet. We’ve done fairly well this season so if we can keep the core of the squad together then who knows where we can go.
“For me personally, I just want to continue to keep on doing my best for the club. Someone was just asking me about my appearance total for Motherwell and now that I am here for another two years, hopefully I can add a few to that.”
